Terms of Service

1. About These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Job Search Bud (jobsearchbud.co.uk), a service operated by Talent Works HQ Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number: 17255930), with its registered address available on request ("we", "us", "our").

By using Job Search Bud, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. What Job Search Bud Does

Job Search Bud is an AI-powered tool that helps job seekers tailor their CVs to specific job descriptions and generates personalised interview preparation documents. The service works by:

  1. Accepting your existing CV content and a job description you provide.
  2. Using AI technology to restructure and reword your CV to better match the specific role.
  3. Generating an interview preparation guide tailored to the role and your experience.

The service operates on a credit-based system. Each credit entitles you to generate one tailored CV and one interview preparation document for a single job application.

3. Your Account

To use Job Search Bud, you must provide a valid email address. Your account is linked to your email address and is protected by a unique access token. You are responsible for:

  • Providing an accurate email address that you have access to.
  • Keeping your access credentials secure.
  • All activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 16 years of age to use this service. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

4. Credits and Pricing

4.1 Purchasing Credits

Credits are available in the following tiers:

  • Starter — 1 credit for £5
  • Standard — 5 credits for £10
  • Pro — 12 credits for £20

All prices include VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time. Any price changes will not affect credits you have already purchased.

4.2 Using Credits

One credit is consumed each time you generate a tailored CV and interview preparation document. A credit is deducted when the generation is successfully completed and the documents are delivered to you.

4.3 Credit Expiry

Purchased credits do not expire. They remain available on your account until you use them.

4.4 No Resale

Credits are for your personal use only and may not be resold, transferred, or shared with others.

5. Payments and Refunds

5.1 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not collect or store your card details. By making a purchase, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service.

5.2 Refund Policy

Because Job Search Bud delivers digital content immediately upon generation, refunds are handled as follows:

  • Unused credits — if you have purchased credits but not yet used any of them, you may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase by contacting us at hello.jobsearchbud@gmail.com. This is in line with your rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
  • Used credits — once a credit has been used to generate documents, that credit is non-refundable, as the digital content has been delivered.
  • Partially used purchases — if you have used some credits from a multi-credit purchase, we will refund the unused portion on a pro-rata basis if requested within 14 days of purchase.
  • Technical failures — if a generation fails due to a technical error on our end and a credit is deducted, we will restore the credit to your account. Please contact us if this occurs.

6. Your Content and Responsibilities

6.1 Content You Provide

You retain full ownership of all content you upload or paste into Job Search Bud, including your CV text and job descriptions. By using the service, you grant us a limited, temporary licence to process this content solely for the purpose of generating your tailored documents. This licence ends immediately once your documents are generated.

6.2 Accuracy and Truthfulness

Job Search Bud restructures and rewords the content you provide — it does not fabricate information. However, you are solely responsible for:

  • Ensuring the information in your original CV is accurate and truthful.
  • Reviewing all generated documents before submitting them to employers.
  • Verifying that the tailored CV accurately represents your experience, skills, and qualifications.

You should always review the generated output. While our AI is designed to work only with facts from your original CV, you are responsible for checking the final document before use.

6.3 Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service to generate fraudulent or misleading CVs containing fabricated information.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or replicate the service or its underlying technology.
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the service.
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the service or generated content without our written permission.
  • Upload content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes the rights of others.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, other users' accounts, or our systems.

7. Generated Documents

The tailored CV and interview preparation documents generated by the service are yours to use as you see fit for your personal job search. You may:

  • Download, print, and submit them to prospective employers.
  • Edit and modify them further after download.
  • Use them across multiple job applications (though each is optimised for a specific role).

We do not retain copies of your generated documents. Once they are delivered to your browser, they exist only on your device.

8. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Job Search Bud uses artificial intelligence to generate tailored documents. While we design our system to work exclusively with information from your original CV, AI technology is not infallible. You should be aware that:

  • Generated content may occasionally contain errors, inaccuracies, or unexpected phrasing.
  • The restructuring and rewording of your experience, while designed to be truthful, may present information in a way that does not perfectly reflect your intent.
  • Interview preparation content (such as likely questions and company information) is generated based on the job description provided and may not be fully accurate or complete.

You must review all generated content before using it. We are not responsible for any consequences arising from your use of unreviewed or unedited generated content.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Job Search Bud is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated content will meet your specific requirements.
  • We do not guarantee that using Job Search Bud will result in job interviews, job offers, or employment outcomes.
  • Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, data, or opportunities.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Service Availability

We aim to keep Job Search Bud available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will endeavour to give notice of planned downtime where possible.

11. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Job Search Bud service, website, branding, and underlying technology belong to us or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except as necessary to use the service.

You retain ownership of the content you upload and the generated documents you receive, as described in Section 6.

12. Termination

You may stop using Job Search Bud at any time. If you wish to delete your account, contact us at hello.jobsearchbud@gmail.com.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service if you breach these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use of the service is harmful, fraudulent, or unlawful. In such cases, any unused credits may be forfeited.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on our website. Your continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you should stop using the service.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms or your use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer, you also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you are resident, and nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
